Now we have talked about nano rings, now its time to venture further into the hair extensions world and discuss micro rings. Their names are similar and so is the method, so this should be a doozy.

So here are the basics, micro rings are a beaded method. However unlike nano rings that are super small and discreet, micro rings are much larger making them less discreet. But don't be put off too much, because there are still several benefits to choosing micro rings.

Micro rings are a great choice for people with medium to thick hair, unfortunately thin hair is not suited for micro rings due to the pressure and strain they put on each strand. Although the strain put on your hair is less than nano rings as more natural hair can fit into micro rings compared to nano rings, spreading the pressure more evenly compared to other methods.

Even though micro rings are not the most discreet hair extension option to choose from, you can still enjoy most hair styles without fear of them showing. Mid to low ponytails are still easy to do. However high up hair styles or half up half down hairstyles would be very hard to pull off with micro rings.

Compared to nano rings micro rings can feel less invasive as the size of the micro bead reduces pressure on the scalp, since the bead is larger you can fit more natural hair into the bead.

All in all micro rings are a great option for anyone wanting to start their hair extension journey, they aren't too invasive and are pretty easy to handle day to day. They may not be the most discreet type of hair extension, but they are low maintenance and super simple.
